Account Manager, VA & DC Metro Area
Reports To: Director of Sales
Job Location: Virginia & DC metro area (travel throughout VA territory & occasional travel to Malvern, PA main office required)
Salary: Commission base + Bi-monthly draw

Job Description: Latchaw, Montgomery & Peck, Inc. has represented leading manufacturers by forming relationships with wholesalers and contractors in the Mid-Atlantic Region since 1958 - serving wholesale PHC, wastewater, water-well and irrigation distributors in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, southern New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and Virginia from our office/warehouse located on our two-acre site in Malvern, PA (a Philadelphia suburb). We strive to cultivate an uplifting culture among our employees and a reputation of integrity among our customers and the manufacturers we represent.  LMP Sales is seeking an Account Manager with technical ability in the water, plumbing, and/or HVAC fields to nurture existing relationships and develop new relationships with distributors in their specified territory. The ideal candidate will be located in the Virginia area and willing to travel to trade shows, wholesale distributors, and work sites throughout the region.
Additionally, the candidate should be independently motivated to set and achieve goals while also being a team player, be a critical thinker that actively identifies areas of growth for our manufacturers, have discretion with sensitive information, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who will serve our customers with diligence, professionalism, and enthusiasm.

Minimum Requirements:
- A strong sense of integrity
- Strong sales competency and record
- Bachelor's degree and/or 3+ years of sales experience
- Experience and/or technical ability in commercial plumbing, water systems, wastewater, HVAC, and/or hydronics conceptsTechnical proficiency in or ability to learn: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, OneDrive, Calendar, & PowerPoint), cloud-based data management systems & CRM software (CentralBOS and RepFabric), & online meeting apps

Major Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, maintain, and manage sales and marketing plan for assigned accounts:
- Work closely with Director of Sales to identify and coordinate sales needs for assigned accounts
- Continually explore better ways to market our products
- Prioritize sales needs and determine appropriate level of project/task involvement
- Create and update detailed, organized records and contact listsDevelop and continually increase business in assigned accounts
Optimize every sales opportunity to generate new business and achieve the highest possible sales impact:
- Schedule appointments with decision makers (including sales and purchasing personnel, engineers, and contractors)
- Prepare and present sales presentations to individuals and small groups, engaging thoughtful conversation to uncover the prospects' reasons to buy and building a case for our products
- Attend trade shows, travel with manufacturers, and conduct factory visits outside the territory as needed
- Track and quantify sales outcomes
